The Varia are the Vongola Famiglia's elite independent assassination squad. They are composed of genius assassins who work in the deepest recesses of the Mafia. Each member takes on missions that are said to be impossible to accomplish by humans; however, they do not accept a mission unless they believe there is a 90% chance of success. Those that see them work often say that their high-level assassination skills are demonic.

                                                                               Xanxus

 Xanxus is the current leader of the Varia, Vongola Ninth's adopted son, and was the main antagonist of the Varia Arc. During the Varia Arc, he and Tsuna battle for the Sky Vongola Ring and the position of the 10th Vongola Boss. Later, in the Future Arc, he remains the leader of the Varia and leads a raid against the Millefiore, taking their Headquarters. He battles against one of the Fake Funeral Wreaths as well and easily wins, showing that he has grown much stronger in the future.

                                                                   Superbi Squalo

 Superbi Squalo (スペルビ スクアーロ, Superubi Sukuāro) is an assassin and the second-in-command of the Varia, the Vongola Famiglia's independently-ran assassination squad. His most notable feature is his long silver hair, which he keeps long to show his dedication to his boss, Xanxus, and refuses to cut it until Xanxus replaces Tsunayoshi Sawada as the 10th Vongola boss. Often seen wearing his Varia uniform, he is characterized by his loud personality, and has a tendency to shout "Voi!" (the Italian version of the plural "you") to vent his frustration. Squalo, as revealed in the Rain Ring Battle against Takeshi Yamamoto, cut off his left hand and replaced it with a mechanized sword, which was done so he could better relate to the Sword Emperor, Tyr, who also happened to be the previous Boss of the Varia and fought without his left hand. Squalo seems to be quite perceptive, seeing right through Genkishi's Mist Illusions when Genkishi tried to fake a loss and even seeing through Chrome Dokuro's skilled illusion of Yamamoto, which Mammon mentions that only real experts could see through.

                                                                

                                                                   Belphegor
                                                                              

 Belphegor (ベルフェゴール, Berufegōru), also known as "Bel" (ベル, Beru) is an assassin working for the Vongola Famiglia's independently-run assassination squad, the Varia. He is known as "Prince the Ripper", because while once the prince of an unknown country, he stabbed his identical twin brother, Rasiel, presumably to death, at the age of eight. It was later revealed during the Future Arc that although he did stab his brother, the latter still lived. Bel has a crescent-shaped birthmark on the right side of his stomach which mirrors Rasiel's mark. He is known as a battle genius, but his abilities only truly present themselves when he sees his own "royal" blood, which reminds him of the time he stabbed his brother. His eyes are never shown, but in Volume 24, Lussuria says in his interview that his eyes are both cool and loyal.

                                                                       Lussuria

Lussuria (ルッスーリア, Russūria) is a Varia assassin wearing an open Varia trenchcoat and has brown hair with a side part of green hair. He has an extremely muscular build, and his favored battle style is Muay Thai. Lussuria has a metal plate over his left knee used to block physical attacks and cause his opponents to heavily damage themselves. He always wears dark sunglasses and his coat has a large orange fur around the hood.

                                                                         Levi-A-Than

Leviathan (レヴィ・ア・タン, Revi-a-tan), known as Levi for short, is an extremely loyal subordinate to Xanxus, so much that he only ever fights for his approval. Reborn said that once he chooses a target, whether it be a man, woman or child, he would beat them mercilessly. He is also extremely zealous, showing up extremely (2 hours) early to fights. It is said that his speed in accomplishing his work is the best in the Varia.

                                                                Gola Mosca

                                                       Mosca (Italian for "fly") are large, humanoid robotic suits, equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry and firepower. Their heads look like those of actual flies, hence their names. Originally used by the assassination squad Varia of the Vongola Famiglia, they are a strong addition to the Millefiore Famiglia's army in the future. Spanner of the Black Spell in the Millefiore Famiglia is the chief expert and developer of the Mosca series.
